Why is brand design important?
Sometimes there is a disconnect – and that’s not great from your customer’s point of view.
Could you imagine a McDonalds logo looking like a Gucci logo?
One says cheap as chips (literally) and the other says luxury.
We’ve got an even better example.
The other day, we were searching for organic lipsticks that come in cool colours. After browsing a bajillion websites, it came down to two sites: Ilia Beauty vs. Lavera
The former says great design, quality product, likely to be on-trend in terms of colours because the brand design is on-trend. The latter says cheap, affordable and is “made for the masses”.
Because our criteria wasn’t around price, but rather, that it be organic and in a cool series of colours, we opted for Ilia.
